Accessibility Options

The Center for Public Safety Innovation at St. Petersburg College offers accessible Web-based training that suits the needs of many target audiences. CPSI maintains the highest standards of digital video production, including options for closed captions, open captions, certified American Sign Language interpreters, and descriptive video services (DVS) based on the target audience of the video. These options provide accessible video training for the blind or visually impaired and the deaf and hard of hearing. Captions or subtitles can also be provided in additional languages for learners who speak languages other than English. Additional built-in standards of NTPI Web-based training include keyboard versus mouse navigation for users with mobility challenges, Web page design for screen reader accessibility for visually impaired users, and usability guidelines for users with cognitive or learning disabilities, as applicable to the target audience.

CPSI’s Web-based training options meet and exceed the amended Section 508 requirements of the Rehabilitation Act of 1998 for information technology. Select the links below to view examples of the services provided by CPSI.
