Types of Courses

Onsite courses, conducted in a conventional classroom, is high-impact, hands-on, and scenario-intensive. CPSI can provide agencies with materials to conduct their own training or provide expert instructors to deliver the training for them. Instructor-led courses are delivered through CPSI’s Regional Community Policing Institute (RCPI) and Multijurisdictional Counterdrug Task Force Training (MCTFT) program. Bilingual content is available upon request.

Instructional materials

Training Support Packages (TSPs) provide training and subject matter expertise in an adaptable format. TSPs equip instructors with interactive training materials. A TSP typically consists of an instructor guide, a student manual, and PowerPoint slides along with a Train-the-Trainer video, classroom support video clip scenarios, and a CD-ROM containing all the information in the course.

Training Support Packages

Free online courses are offered through D2L, CPSI’s Learning Management System (LMS). First responders can earn continuing education units (CEUs) from St. Petersburg College for the online courses they complete. Once the final assessment for a course has been successfully finished, a course completion certificate is available for printing.
